 Executive Chef | Julian Parks

 

My name is Julian Parks & I've been in the hospitality industry as a sushi chef for over 12 years. I've worked at several well known sushi bars & Michelin Star rated establishments throughout the country.

 

In addition to my experience with Japanese food, I've also spent time working with french cuisine in a well established restaurant that partially specializes in working with seafood. As of last December, Juene Et Jolie in Carlsbad, California, maintained its Michelin star and is well on the way to obtaining a second! 

 

Although I have no formal culinary training, I earned an AA degree in Accounting, Liberal Arts w/ a focus on Math & Science, & Business Administration from Mira Costa Community College. I also took several hospitality management courses throughout my time at the school. However, I'm currently pursuing a double major in Economics/Accounting & Communication Theory at UC Santa Barbara.
